Privacy Policy

1. Information we collect
When you create an account, PinePad may store information such as your name, email address, and account identifiers. Property owners or hosts may also provide a landlord profile, mobile number, landlord type, listing details, photos, location information, pricing, rules, amenities, and contact information. We also store marketplace activity needed for features such as saved listings, reports, and listing management.
2. Public listing information
Information submitted for a public listing — such as the property description, photos, price, area, amenities, nearby schools or landmarks, and selected contact details — may be visible to anyone using PinePad. Only share information you are comfortable using for a public marketplace.
3. How we use information
We use information to operate PinePad, authenticate accounts, publish and manage listings, connect renters or guests with landlords or hosts, support favorites and reports, improve search and marketplace features, prevent misuse, and understand how the service is being used.
If you create a rental alert, PinePad stores the email address and search criteria needed to send matching-listing notifications. Alerts remain inactive until you confirm them by email, and each alert email includes an unsubscribe option. PinePad may associate the alert with campaign or referral attribution described below so we can understand which outreach leads to useful renter demand.
Support emails sent to PinePad may be processed using automated or AI-assisted tools to classify routine questions, match them to approved PinePad support information, send routine replies, and route messages that need human attention. PinePad limits automatic replies to approved support information. Sensitive, uncertain, action-required, or follow-up requests are routed for human review.
Submitted property listings may also be processed using objective validation and AI-assisted review. Listings that meet PinePad's automatic-review criteria may be approved automatically, while clear fixable issues may result in a request for changes. Uncertain, suspicious, low-confidence, or otherwise sensitive cases are routed for human review. Automated review does not verify legal ownership or guarantee that listing photos truthfully depict the property.
4. Analytics and conversion events
PinePad records lightweight marketplace analytics such as listing views, saves, contact clicks, and shares. We also maintain internal conversion-event records for actions such as account registration, starting a listing, submitting a listing for review, and publishing an approved listing, as well as search and contact-interest activity. These records may include internal user, browser-session, or property identifiers and listing attributes such as rental mode or property type. When you arrive through a campaign or external referral, PinePad may also retain campaign parameters (such as UTM tags or advertising click identifiers), the referring domain, and the landing-page path so we can understand which outreach or advertising leads to useful marketplace activity. PinePad does not store the full landing-page query string as attribution metadata.
5. Optional Meta advertising measurement
PinePad has prepared a server-side Meta Conversions API integration for measuring advertising on Facebook and Instagram. The integration is currently disabled: PinePad is not sending website conversion events to Meta through this integration. We are not running a Meta Pixel on the website as part of this setup.
If enabled in the future, PinePad will use this integration only for eligible accounts with explicit, current opt-in permission. Events may describe account registration, starting a property listing, submitting a listing for review, or publishing a visible listing. We may send event timestamps, listing rental mode and method, and a cryptographic hash of the account email address and account identifier so Meta can match and measure ad performance. Hashing does not necessarily make information anonymous to Meta.
This advertising measurement permission is optional, separate from the first-party operational records described above, and does not affect your ability to use PinePad. Adults aged 18 or older can choose to allow or decline it from Privacy & Ad Measurement in their signed-in account. Nothing is shared with Meta through this integration merely because you make a choice while it is disabled.
You may withdraw permission at any time on that page. PinePad must honor withdrawal for future transmissions and unsent measurement events. If Meta has already received an event, withdrawal cannot automatically remove it from Meta's systems. For requests about your information, contact PinePad or review Meta's own privacy controls.
6. Service providers
PinePad relies on technology and service providers to host the application, authenticate users, store data, deliver app features, and support analytics or operational functions. These providers may process information only as needed to provide those services.
7. Your choices and controls
Property owners and hosts can edit, archive, or remove their listings through PinePad. You may request help with your account information or request account deletion by contacting admin@getpinepad.com. Some records may be retained where reasonably necessary for security, fraud prevention, legal obligations, or operational records.
8. Security
We take reasonable steps to protect information, but no online platform can guarantee absolute security. Use a strong password, protect your verification codes, and avoid sharing unnecessary personal information in public listing text or messages.
9. Policy updates
This policy may change as PinePad adds features, service providers, or measurement tools. The current version and update date will be posted on this page. If PinePad adds third-party advertising or measurement tools that materially change how information is handled, this policy should be updated accordingly.
